Approximately 90 Air Travels Connected to Epstein Reportedly Landed at or Took Off from UK Airports
An investigation has identified that nearly 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly landed at and took off from UK airports, with some allegedly transporting British women who assert they were victimized by the found guilty sex offender.
Aviation Records Reveal Pattern of Travel
The travel manifests were part of thousands of legal papers and papers made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been released over the past year. The investigation identified 87 flights connected to Epstein – featuring many that were previously unknown – arriving or departing from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unidentified women were documented among the passengers flying to and from the UK. Crucially, 15 of these UK flights happened following Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a minor.
“This is ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his operations in the country,” remarked American attorneys acting for hundreds of Epstein victims.
British Victims and Legal Proceedings
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors helped convict Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. Yet, that individual has not received any contact by UK authorities, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the the Met indicated they had “not been provided with any further information that would support restarting the inquiry.” They noted, “Should new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, including any arising from the release of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
A bill to disclose every document held by the US government in relation to Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of documents are projected to be made public.
Additionally, a US judge decided last week that the department could publicly release evidence from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
