"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.
He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade
In a distinct piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.
"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.
