The former president's Granddaughter Receives Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for significant competition

The rising star boasts impressive social media following

Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known supporters when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple international courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she stated.

Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa essentially suggested to play and relax," she added.

"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

But she's able to receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.

"He is the best player in the world," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive person. He advised me to go out there, have fun, following the flow."

The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence brings the sport to new audiences, specifically with the next generation.

Kai boasts a massive following and has started her own clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
